The Golden Graal 2006 nominations
were ufficial this morning, the prestigious awards that students of the
major Italian and European film and theater schools assigned to those
artists that have invented a new way of doing film, theater and music.
The awards ceremony will take place in Rome on the evening of the 7th of June at the Ambra Jovinelli Theater.
During the evening of the 7th, where well-known players of theater and film will be present, the Golden Graal Awards for Film, Theater and Music
will be presented including the Golden Graal Career Award and the
International Awards, which in last year’s edition were awarded to Penelope Cruz and Gael Garcia Bernal.
Amongst those to be awarded in this year’s edition are Rena Mirecka, actress from the Instytut Aktora Teatr Laboratorium of Jerzy Grotowski, an icon in the history of contemporary theater and Carlo Verdone, one of the most well-known representatives of Italian slap-stick comedy in the past 30 years.
During the evening the more seasoned players will be assigning the most sought out awards (by students): the IMAIE – Rising Star
grant/award for up-and-coming artists, who thanks to their passion and
professionalism are entering amongst the rising stars of the Italian
Film, Theater and Music industries.
The appointment is not only in
Rome on the 7th of June for the evening of the awards ceremony at the
Ambra Jovinelli Theater, but press is also invited on the 8th and 9th to
personally witness the 2 days of internships at the Casa del Cinema (House of Film) and discover who will be tomorrow’s stars!
